Question: Is it possible for Bronchitis to turn into another illness.?
I first had cold. I went to the doctor after 3 weeks and found out I had bronchitis and now , about 10 days after I went to the doctor, I seem to have a sinus infection. Does Bronchitis typically morph itself into some other ailment.?Health Question & Answer

Yes bronchitis can turn into Pneumonia however I usually get my symptoms the opposite way you do, I usually get a sinus infection first, and then it turns into bronchitis, and it can last anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks depending on the type of infection you have, the best thing to do is just finish the medication your doctor has prescribed, and drink lots of fluids, and if after you've finished the meds the infection still hasn't gone away you should then go back to your doctor and get another prescription though shots are more effective and work quicker to get rid of the symptoms.Health Question & Answer

I would go back to your doctor or find a more competent one.
If it becomes painful to breathe, then you probably have pneumonia....though you would likely be bedridden with little energy if it is severe.Health Question & Answer
