How to cure minor anxiety?!

Question: How to cure minor anxiety.?
I used to have panic attacks, but I've learned how to stop them once they try to start.

The only problem I have is minor anxiety. I get really dizzy and stuff and I start having lots of thoughts run through my head that something bad is going to happen to me. Usually a seizure. But I've never had a seizure and never experienced one, which is why I know it's stupid and I know it's Anxiety.

I'm on Clonazepam [Klonopin] 1 mg 1 pill a day for my anxiety. But what else can I do to stop thinking that I'm going to have a seizure.? Really this is the only problem I have.

I feel that if I try to relax, I'm going to have a seizure or pass out. And I don't want to go on Lexapro or anything like that because I've heard that it just messes you up even more, especially when you are tapered off of it and have the withdrawal symptoms. Brain shocks/shivers don't sound fun to me.Health Question & Answer

You're probably not going to like my answer but it will be the easiest and cheapest one for you to consider. I have had anxiety problems for years, and I have accepted this is just one of my quirks and I just deal with it. I know you're thinking, Yeah...deal with it....riiiiight! But seriously, people are overmediacted and after a while you can't really do anything without that crutch in a bottle, no matter how small the dose or benign the meds are. You've said you have never had a ssiezure and you know it's anxiety, so you are in control of yourself.
I have had moments, usually standing in lines, where I feel I am fixing to pass out. Then I start thinking about what would happen if I fell into the people next to me... now I can hear my hear beating....I'm losing control...... I know, I've been there. Just breathe deep and try not to think about the negative, because that can make things worse. Just try to think of something funny or study the pictures ofn the walls- ANYTHING to get your mind off of whatever is bothering you.
Don't try to relax, just do it...relax. If you've never had a siezure there's a really good chance you never will. Everything will be fine if you just relaxx.Health Question & Answer

I also suffer from what you're experiencing, for 10 years now. I take seroxat once a day. But those dizzy spells always appears at one point and my mind feels blank (and it's the mind blank that panic me)

What helps me when I feel like that is by doing something with my hands. Playing a handheld game, drawing, sit by the computer and write to people. Even though at the moment it feels like you can do NOTHING, if you try you'll find out that if you're concentrating on something else you stop feeling dizzyHealth Question & Answer

an older friend of mine, who has had these attacks, told me to take st.john's wort. it is a great herb for this. i also take deep breaths, and go for a walk. this has helped me tremendously. i was in emergency room few weeks ago,w/stroke symptoms. they gave me a shot called compazeen.it freaked me out. they admitted me for stroke symptoms, i told them i was going home. they unhooked me, i went home, went walking, slept,it has not returned. you have to get control over your own mind, any way you can. Honestly, I take prozac and buspar. A big part of it is the fact that the medicine cant do it all for you. You need to try and help yourself as well. I've been getting them almost every day since I was 8 years old, they are very scary, but if you want them to pass you need to rely on more than medication.Health Question & Answer

During anxiety-producing times, use stress management strategies and try natural remedies. Yoga breathing for calm excercise is excellent for people who often feel anxious, because it can relax both mind and body, encourage steady breathing and help overcome negative emotions. This breathing excercise is designed to strengthen and relax the chest and abdominal muscles, and to harmonise the flow of life energy(prana).Take five breaths at each stage.

1) Kneel with one hand on your abdomen and the other palm placed downwards on your thigh.Feel your abdomen expand as you inhale and retract as you slowly exhale.
2) Place your palms on either side of your ribcage.Lift and lower your ribcage as you breathe, pushing inwards with your hands to help expel the last of the air as you exhale.
3)Tighten your abdomen.Lift your shoulders and upper chest as you inhale.and then let them drop as you exhale and release the muscles of your abdomen. Health Question & Answer
