Please help-sickness question..?!?!

Question: Please help-sickness question...?!.?
Okay, well it started last night when I kept feeling extreme nausea and stomach pains, although I am on my period so figured it was because of this. However, before I went to sleep I had diarrhea once, then went to sleep. I was woken up after a couple of hours and have since been up all night and all morning with diarrhea. At first it was normal diarrhea but having been about 15+ times since about 12 last night it is now just yellow liquid with no substance. I have also vomited, but only once, but still feel slightly nauseous.

I had chinese takeaway friday night, no breakfast saturday, pizza and chips for lunch saturday (i wouldn't normally eat this unhealthy but was staying with a friend) and nothing since the pizza at about 3pm yesterday.

I managed to finally get a couple of hours sleep at 6am but woke up at 9am immediately having to go, and since then I have been 8 times, and its just yellow liquid which Im thinking is because there's actually no food left inside me, having not eaten in almost 20hours.

Please help! I am really hungry but scared to eat anything, and starting to feel really drained. My anus also really stings which im guessing must be to do with excreting stomach acid.

Please only give serious answers, Im not looking for sarcy answers when Im in such discomfort. Thanks.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
If it is liquid diarrhea, sounds like Norwalk virus. You need to eat.Your bowel has already proven that it will run with or without food. You need energy.Eat easily digestible foods.I can never survive the BRAT diet because I find it disgusting, especially when I am sick.Either way, keep hydrated. It is very crucial.

also, do not take a anti diarrheal medication.Your body is acting like this for a reason.

Normally, if you get diarrhea from unhealthy eating habits, it's not watery.Just normal.

It could also potentially be food poisoning from the food.Only a doctor could tell you.

Info on Norwalk virus:

The Norwalk virus is known as the nasty 24 hour bug that causes explosive and sudden watery diarrhea and projectile vomiting.Usually non life threating but can cause complications in the very young, elderly and those with compromised immune systems.

PREVENTION-Wash your hands before preparing food/eating food and most importantly, TOUCHING YOUR MOUTH/NOSE/EYES.

The ONLY way to become infected with this virus is if you ingest the contaminated fecal/vomit particles through your eyes, nose and mouth.

It is impossible to "breathe" in the virus BUT possible to become infected by breathing in aerosol "spray" droplets from someone vomiting right next to you.(the droplets settle within minuted but can still infect someone until cleaned with bleach)

Even if your whole family breaks out with this virus, you can prevent it by washing your hands for at least 15-20 seconds with warm water and soap.Remember that you are not killing the virus, you are washing it down the drain even if you use an antibacterial soap (which only kills bacteria, not viruses) hand sanitizers are also not successful in killing the virus.

If a member of your family comes down with the virus, let them know to wash their hands AFTER a bowel movement and vomiting.

To clean infected areas, clean with BLEACH.Clean bathrooms (all infected areas) with a bleach solution as soon as possible and be sure to prevent cross contamination and wash your hands afterwards.Especially children! wipe down all commonly touched objects like door knobs, faucet handles, light switches, toilet flushers etc.

People are STILL contagious even after 24 hours after their symptoms settle down so it is always important to wash your hands after the rest room (which you should do anyways!)

The key to staying Norwalk virus free is to keep sanitary.Wash your hands after using the bathroom...you could prevent other peoples misery as well as yours!!
