This is kind of embarrassing for me...?!

Question: This is kind of embarrassing for me....?
Ever since I -started- my period I've had this weird brown discharge. I usually get it while I am on my period, no worries, right.? Well. Here I am, a week before my next period is due, and I am -STILL- having it. I hasn't gone away at all. I haven't had -any- kind of sex, so I know it's not an STD. Should I be worried at all.? I've never had it last this long before.Health Question & Answer

all bodies work in different ways.
The brown in your discharge sounds like just dry blood from before your period coming out in your discharge (discharge is a cleaning devise anyway!)
Don't worry about it! If you are relatively new to your period (as in a few years) then your body is still settling down and I reckon your brown discharge will eventually go away.Health Question & Answer

First off this question was put in the wrong section, but that's okay. Anyway, if you are seriously worried about this then I suggest you take this concern to your doctor and get yourself checked out. Though usually when you have brown discharge, for however long you have it, it's old blood. It's your body's way of cleaning itself, it truly is amazing and pretty cool if you look at the details of it. But like I said, if you're worried then go see your doc. Though if I were you, I wouldn't be to freaked out.Health Question & Answer

If in doubt visit your GP. There's no reason to be embarrassed, they'll be able to tell you exactly what's wrong, and they've seen it all before.Health Question & Answer
