Colonoscopy too soon?!

Question: Colonoscopy too soon.?
I had a tiny colon polyp (sp.?) removed during a colonoscopy in June. I am 26 years old with no family history at all and the doc wants me to have another one done in June. Does this sound right to you.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
IF the polyp is pre-cancerous, yes go to for a second exam. IF it was NOT pre-cancerous and very small (which one MM is small,) my Dr said every three years is sufficient.
PS. My doctor gives a great prep. If you want me to send it to you just ask. You don't starve, you get to eat a small breakfast and small lunch, the stuff doesn't taste bad and it's works great, you're very clean for the exam, w/o having to suffer!!!Health Question & Answer

It is a quick painless procedure, (i had one at 14) You are better off safe than sorry. Anything they find (even though they probably won't) would be much easier to treat young. This is one of the big areas where early detection makes the biggest difference.Health Question & Answer

I would think that they would just want to do like a follow up and make sure everything got removed.

Thats what is sounds like to me!Health Question & Answer
