My grandma has type 2 diabetes...?!

My husband has smoked and Dipped for a long time and has type 1 diabetes. He quite smoking 6 years ago but still dips. He has quit dipping probably 6 times in the last six years. Many different ways but he was a jerk for the first month afterwords and struggled. He even quit for a year. If he had a really bad day he would bum a dip and start again. Anyhow he tried the prescription Chantix. It costs about $200 without insurance. You take it for a couple of weeks before you quit and continue to take it after for a month or so. My husband tried to quit dipping after one week and there was no difference so he continued for one more week dipping and quit with no problem. It was actually real easy for him. I told him before that he was not allowed to quit without it because I didn't think I could put up with his attitude. My brothers Mother in Law also quit with chantix. My Father was a physician and when a patient of his wanted to quit, he would tell them to quit cold turkey and he would give them a small dose of valium to take away their nervousness while the nicotene was getting out of their system.
You may tell your grandma to approach her doctor with this method. My Father had great results.
