Ive had chest pains before but this is horrible!!!!?!

Question: Ive had chest pains before but this is horrible!!!!.?
This pain is much different. All the heart tests Ive had have came back mostly normal ( except my heart rate being in the upper 100s and the Echo showing a slightly enlarged right ventricle.) Usually when I have chest pains its mid chest and it passes within a few minutes.

Well tonight I was just getting ready for bed. Had just got out of the shower and got this horrible pain on the left side of my chest. I basically fell against the wall holding my chest. It was horrible pressure pains with pain shooting into the neck and shoulder. Was hard to breathe. I sat down thinking it would pass but no, it just got worse. I started feeling really sick to my stomach. My mom lives next door so I called her over. She said I was so pale and wanted me to go to the hospital, but instead I took a nitro that the Dr gave me a script for and I started feeling much better within a matter of minutes. Im on medicine for my high blood pressure and fast heart rate. During this "episode" my blood pressure was 89/58 and pulse was 45 which is very strange to happen to me. My resting heart rate is always in the 130s. I hadnt even taken my medicine for the night yet... Im feeling much better now but does anyone know what could have possibly caused this. Im 20/f. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Dec 11thHealth Question & Answer

Go to the ER now.

Your symptoms point to unstable angina which is an indication that you may have had a heart attack- chest pain at rest, and DIFFERENT from your previous episodes of chest pain. Not to mention the feelings of nausea, difficulty breathing, and looking pale.

nitro is a vaso dilator, so, your bp would drop, you should get seen tonight so they can do ekg and serial troponins, that might be just the pre warning of something worse. Don't wait until the 11th, go tonight and tell them what your said here. Health Question & Answer

Amber, you need to go to the ER asap. The nitro will dilate blood vessels to allow blood flow to be easier to relax the cramping of the heart muscle, but the extremely low blood pressure is a concern since yours is high normally. You are at risk for blood clot, heart attack, stroke, etc.

Not to scare you but my father had the same thing, he blew it off as indigestion, he had high blood pressure. Next thing we know he had a massive heart attack losing 75% of his heart damaged beyond repair, he's had strokes too. He sits in a chair all day and cannot do anything. Right now you have a chance to make sure that doesn't happen to you by going to the ER before something worse happens.
