My daughter is 3mo and has a mild bronchial infection. She was prescribed a vaporizer but my insurance won't cover it. I just need to know if I can steam water over the stove instead of having to buy one. Health Question & Answer

Yes it is the same, but I wouldn't put a baby near a stove. Try running the shower with hot water and leave the curtain or door open a little to the steam can come out, and just sit in the bathroom HOLDING the baby with the bathroom door shut. You can buy Vicks Vaporizer (liquid kind) and put a little bit in the water and it can work almost as good as a vaporizer.Health Question & Answer
