Question: Do I have the flu or, Bronchitis.? Or, something else .?
I have been sick for 6 days now. I "Thought" I was feeling better, 2 days ago but, now I feel worse. I have been coughing up green phlegm now, for 4 days, I have had a fever for 4 days, my fever breaks and, I wake up at night soaked in sweat. My throat started hurting yesterday, and I'm very congested. And, Now my voice is extremely hoarse. I have been taking mucinex and advil. But, I seem to get worse. Any suggestions.?.?Health Question & Answer

It might be time to see your doctor or go to an Urgent Care facility. The mucinex and advil used regularly are appropriate but it might be time for an antibiotic and maybe a chest x-ray. The hoarse voice will go away on it's own but gargling with warm salt water and spitting out will help soothe the discomfort. also, running a humidifier in the bedroom where you sleep will help too. you have to go to the doctors, because green mucus is a sign of an infection. 6 days is to long to be sick, and 4 days is to long to have a fever. go to the doctors tomorrow. if your doctor isn't open tomorrow than i would go to the ER.Health Question & Answer
