2 weeks on antibiotics ?!

Question: 2 weeks on antibiotics .?

Hi, I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks. First on amoxil and then on z-pack for sinus infection. After doing blood work doctor said its viral and will go away by itself!!!!

Now after a week, i am starting to feal so weak.
Literally its hard for me to do any activity, I have my appetite.

BTW I am kind of under weight. 5'8 and weight 118 pounds.

This was my first time on antibiotics. Can it be the cause of weakness!

2 weeks ago I had blood work and it came out fine Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Well It could be side affects from the Zithromax that you were taking.
Zithromax is supposed to be prescribed as a short-term antibiotic. I find it strange that your doctor would have put you on it for that long.
Side affects can include:
Trouble sleeping, headache, and cold-like symptoms.
Some people experience nausea and upset stomachs as well.

I'm not a doctor, and I only know this because I took it before, but it might be why you feel the way you do. Health Question & Answer

Yes it is very possible that you feel weak because more than 7-9 days of Antibiotics, cleans your guts of every probiotics (the good germs that help you assimilate vitamins from food).
Eat a lot of yogurt, or there are probiotic pills that regeberate the good bacteria in your guts, I don't know if they are prescription or Over the counter.Health Question & Answer

Your fine. Eat some yogurt made with whole milk to replace the normal flora killed off by the antibiotics and wait for the virus to run it's course.

Then go eat a cheesburger or something and get some weight on you!Health Question & Answer

antibiotics doesn't work on a viral infection it has to run the course.Health Question & Answer
