Do I have a UTI or Bladder infection?!

Question: Do I have a UTI or Bladder infection.?
Today afternoon i tried to use the restroom and it HURT!!!!

It didn't burn, it was a sharp pain sent up my groin. I don't think it is a kidney infection because my back isn't hurting or acing. But would it be a Urinary Track Infection.? I'm 13 and never had sex so it couldn't be a STD and I don't think it's a kidney stone. It really feels like a have to pee, and when i try to, a thick yellow discharge comes out and it really hurts.I've also tried sitting in the tub and doing it, but it didn't help.

In the morning my mom is going to call a doctor. Will they ask for a urine sample, I don't think i could give them one.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It may be a UTI. Bladder infection (cystitis) is one type of UTI. UTI means urinary tract infection and the urinary tract includes more than just the bladder.

It's not an STD or a kidney stone. You will be asked for a urine specimen and you'll drink a lot of water before you leave for the doctor and you will give a specimen.

Don't drink any acidic drinks like cranberry juice. Most UTIs are caused by a bacteria called E. coli and this particular bacteria thrives in an acidic environment. An acidic environment in your urinary tract is what you'll create if you drink it. Stick to lots of plain, cold water for now. For the pain, you can use an over-the-counter product like Uristat or AZO. Use as directed as only for as long as directed.Health Question & Answer
