Sounds like your mind is working overtime here. You can easily make yourself allergic to something if you think you are. You can't really ask such a medical question here and expect to self diagnose this issue correctly. You will have to document everything you consume, wear, touch, soaps, lotions etc. Keeping track of reactions to everything and see where this directs you.Health Question & Answer

Basically, chemicals are often what cause skin allergies. I have pretty bad skin allergies too. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about them, except avoid the irritants. If you have a really bad allergic reaction (I've had my eyes swell half-shut before), your doc can give you some meds.

Tips: avoid things that have a lot of ingredients. Go with simple, unscented baby lotions rather than those bath and body works lotions that have strong fragrances. The same goes for soaps and body washes. In general, anything with a fragrance can be irritating. Skin products with alcohol dry out your skin, making it more vulnerable to allergens. Only use hypo-allergenic laundry detergents. (Very important!!!) Avoid wearing jewelry in areas where it touches your skin, and avoid metals like nickel altogether. Try to wear soft fabrics, even if that means paying a little extra. Wash new clothes before wearing them--the chemical residues can be irritating (for me at least). Don't starch your clothing if you iron them (more chemicals!). Your hands are the least sensitive part of your body because the skin on your palms are thicker, so that's probably why you itch less there.

I hope some of that helps!!Health Question & Answer
