Question: Why does Chicken Pox happen to everybody.?
Im curiousHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
Chicken Pox is actually not a bad thing for kids to get. It's a close relative to the potentially fatal Small Pox, but if you've had one, you're unlikely to ever get the other. For this reason in the past people have deliberately exposed themselves to other less dangerous members of the Pox family, such as Cow Pox and Chicken Pox to help protect themselves from getting Small Pox.
All the viruses are extremely contagious, so if you come into contact with someone who has it, you're likely to get it too. It's hence extremely common in daycare centers and schools because if one child becomes infected, they're likely to infect everyone else. It's much easier to get over as a child than as an adult, so some parents will even try to get their children infected, again to protect them later in life.Health Question & Answer

Chicken pox infections occur with high frequency especially among young children who are in close contact. Before a child actually developes the rash, he/she is shedding virus asymptomatically, infecting the kids who the infected kid coughs on. This high level of infection in the young is good, because in this age group, chickenpox is a relatively minor disease. It looks like hell, but doesn't make most kids particularly ill. In adults, chicken pox won't kill you, but you will wish it did, since it is much more severe and painful in older individuals.Health Question & Answer
