You may have something else. As stated above, you need to see your doctor sooner. Call again and explain the symptoms and ask if you can get in sooner.

You should be speaking to a nurse when you explain your symptoms. If it is not a nurse, ask to speak to the doctors nurse. Just ask for her name. If she says it, either repeat or ask her to repeat it and ask what her title is.
Are you a nurse.? LPN or RN. This will make them take note.

I had a friend that was told her mom could not get in to see the doc for a week. She called early in the morning to me describing the symptoms that she had explained to the doctors nurse. I told her to hang up and dial 911. They were able to stop the stroke and she did not loose very much function.

Unfortunately, sometimes people are just human and humans make mistakes.

Best wishes on what ever it is.Health Question & Answer

When it comes to your kidney's you shoud never put off going to the doctor. I think it would be best for you to contact your Doctor that you have the appointment with and tell them what's going on and see if they can get you in sooner, or see if they think that waiting til tuesday is ok. Kidney's infections can be fatal.

Painkillers are actually bad for your kidneys as well. if you are feeling that bad, then get to the emergency room.Health Question & Answer

no it won't put you in more pain. And back pain doesn't always mean a kidney infection. It could mean a stone. In either case, if it becomes unbearable, go to the emergency room. It's hard to tell, because you didn't say where in your back it hurts, what it feels like.? Anyone who knows what they are talking about needs to know these things.Health Question & Answer

sorry for your pain. sounds like your kidneys, having suffered the same effects myself. it is good to get a second opinion though. my first doc visit yielded no positive results, matter of fact, i was diagnosed with muscle spasm. stop taking pain killers they are bad for your kidneys in that condition and you should rethink your diet. good luck and move fast.Health Question & Answer

Unless you have had surgery recently, you can't get a kidney infection without first getting a bladder infection. If you did not have surgery or a bladder infection before the symptoms started, this is not a kidney infection.

if this is something other than a kidney infection, the symptoms could be caused by a kidney stone, gall bladder attack, or an intestinal infection from something like Girardia. In case this is actually your gall bladder, avoid eating fats (lattes) until you have a chance to see the doc, but on the other hand, it might help with the diagnosis if you went ahead and drank a latte just to see what happens.Health Question & Answer
