Break up to not be taken care of if become handicapped?!

Question: Break up to not be taken care of if become handicapped.?
If you had multiples schlerosis or some kind of disease where there was a really good chance that in a matter of years you'd be in a wheelchair & unable to take care of yourself, would you want to not be a burden.? As in breaking up with boyfriend/husband so as to let him live a happy life rather than having to spend his life taking care of you. I have heard that caretaker significant others stay because they feel obligated to do the right thing, but that it can be a difficult life. Would you try to get him to leave so that he can live his life.? What if he stayed with you but you got all unsexy and fat cause you couldn't exercize when the disease got worse & you couldn't go places & have fun or be the person he used to love... and wouldn't it be harder anyway to have him there with you but him wishing he was with someone that made him happy.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No. Aint nobody going anywhere. I've been with my guy for many years. If something happened we'd deal with it, he's there for me and I'm there for him. And who really cares if he or I are in a wheelchair. We would get better seats at our concerts. Nope. There's no way we would ever leave eachother over a sickness. Someting like that would only make us stronger.Health Question & Answer

So true I would let them go and have a normal life. It would be hard but who wants sympathy all the time from your spouse. Let them go enjoy life.Being handicapped sometimes is a struggle so why bring someone else down all the time..Health Question & Answer
