Meningitis and MDMA??? ?!

Question: Meningitis and MDMA.?.?.? .?
When i was a toddler i somehow got meningitis (meningococcal)<--sp. I want to "roll" for the first time and i am worried about it somehow affecting me, since it was a bacterial infection/disease. I think if you get meningitis, ever, then you are always at a higher risk of getting it again... Please, please. please. no negative suggestions. I just want to know if anyone has neutral/positive ideas or suggestions. ThanksHealth Question & Answer

it is possible to get Meningitis again. I got viral meningitis last yr, and it nearly killed me, and since then my immune system has never been the same and now I am sicker than ever with Fibromyalgia which is chronic pain in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments and the disease comes with a battery of other issues like depression, CFS insomnia, brain fog, and messing with a 19 yr old life!
Regardless of this I believe if you do decide to "roll" at least have someone 'babysit' you and your friends to make sure that A- you don't do anything stupid and B- if you OD or get hurt then they can call for help. I really don't think that "rolling' will affect your chances of contracting meningitis again, but I do know how you feel I live in fear that I will somehow get it again, that pain is worse than imaginable, I don't even want to think about it. I do think that you should do some research about meningitis that way you know how it is contacted and basic info about this infectious disease. I also do hope (and Im not being negative here in any way) that you be very careful when you decide to "roll" make sure that you have plenty of cold water with you at all times, b/c it can cause severe dehydration and shut your organs/body down completely. I have - and don't plan- on "rolling" but I know enough about it to stay away from it. Just don't do anything drastic, and keep your mind sharp. good luck, and be smart.Health Question & Answer

Having meningococcal meningitis at any point in your life does not in any way make you any more at risk of getting it again.

I'm assuming from the first answer that "rolling" is drug related.? Grow up and use your brains....it's just plain stupid.Health Question & Answer
