Is it okay to mix mouthwash and water?

-container">When I go to get my teeth cleaned, the hygienist always mix mouthwash with water.


Answers:

It will reduce its bacterial killing effectiveness some, but if you need to that is fine. I always add water to the mouthwash because even though it is not "concentrated" requiring the addition of water, some of my patients find it too strong...
