Why don't dentists/oral surgeons take government insurance?!
Question: Why don't dentists/oral surgeons take government insurance.?
I have an impacted wisdom tooth that broke and is now an excruciating dry socket. I have been calling around but no dentist takes my insurance. I even volunteered to pay out of pocket and the one said he can't even see me to pay out of pocket because I have state insurance.
I am in severe pain. What do I do if no one will even see me.?Health Question & Answer

Have been through this myself except with a medical doctor. Call a dentist, set up an appointment and don't tell them you have insurance. They will take you then. Health Question & Answer
Well, first of all, you have my sympathy. Dry socket is horrible.
I would pick the dentist who seemed the most sympathetic, even though they said no, and just show up at the office, money in hand. Otherwise, go to the ER.
Feel better!
