Most orthodontists don't offer the option of inside braces because it takes longer for the braces to fix the teeth, not to mention that it probably causes a small speech impediment and can easily hurt your tongue.
If you are extremely self concious about how you will look with braces, it might be a good idea to get them. However, its probably a good idea in the long run to avoid them.
