Question: I have been going for a three mile power walk every morning and when I'm done my fingers swell up is this .?
normal.? Will it eventually stop.? Does it mean I'm really out of shape.? I'm 35 and 5'5 and weigh 152. This has never happened before, but I don't work out that much. I just started walking every morning for maybe 3 miles. I walk really fast and it's uphill mostly.Health Question & Answer

this happens because when you're walking your hands are down by your side. consequently all the blood is rushing into your fingers and making them swell. it is very normal for this to happen to people when they go for long walks, and i don't think there's much you can do about it!

It is a possibility to lose weight rapidly but you should be realistic and take on board that if you lose weight rapidly then you will without doubt put it all back on again just as rapidly. I lost 10 pounds over the past few weeks when I had a wedding to attend, and I did it by following the tips and tricks supplied on the web resource in the box below.Health Question & Answer

You are not out of shape - as you walk, the gravity pulls fluid into your hands and fingers - one day, try to walk with your arms at chest height and hands slightly upward and you will see that the swelling isn't as bad.

Nothing to be concerned about!
