Question: Weight Loss- I WANT THE TRUTH for once! I work my a** off and nothing happens.?
I am 37. I have a good metabolism, I only gained weight around age 35. I have tried rotating cardio exercises (at least 50 mins a day/ 4-5 days a week) along with weight lifting. YES i sweat my a** off during my workouts, and YES i did this for 4 months each time before giving up. WHAT IS GOING ON.? I only eat 3-4 small meals a day, no junk food, no soda.Health Question & Answer

Let us check a little: Compare your weight today with your best weight 2/12 years ago.? Now consider: What has change in your way of life since then.? Are you eating more.?or are you using your body less.?Perhaps you have changed dwellings during these years. have you moved from a two story to a ranch type with no stairs . The most worhtwhile new goal is making yourself over into the person you were meant to be.Remember the cause of your particular weight gain...You se women especially have a tendency to retain fluid in the body tissues, and that it adds both the weight and the tissues. That is why The quick reducing schemes is not gratifying. Let me give you wise advice , Start your day with fresh things, as you wake up in the morning, drink something fresh like natural juices derive from fresh fruits. Then later as you go for breakfast start in with protein, slice of beef, sometimes tofu, eggs should be there, Make your lunch time full of fresh vegetables, salad bowl I mean fortified with golden oil like sesame or olive oil as your dressing. You can take fruits like apple for your midafternoon or whenever you are hungry. I like to give you more if you contact me. end the night with fortified milk, soy milk or yogurt. You can do the lazy exercise enough to flattened your stomach and even make it firm. The firmer you become, the healtier you are. Heallty exercise is laying in a yoga slant where your head is lower 12 inches to your feet.(find a flat hardboard 20 inches wide 6 ft. long, attached two ft. 12 inches in height and flat down the other side...Lay down 30 min. everyday o it and allow yourselves to relax. Lift stomach and feel your back flattening at the board. Hold your breath for sometime then exhale. Inhale and exhale. go for 1 hr. next time and two hours is much better, by doing this you only not flattening your stomach but you allow blood to circulate freely even to your brain and you will reduce beautifully without sagging or hagard. I had a client that did what you are doing but for 2 years and never changed until she came to me. You will think I am crazy, but you are missing only one thing.

REST!

I know, sounds like it wont work. But, if you over train, you will not lose weight! not matter what you eat. I would up your meals to 5-6 a day if you workout like that. 3-4 wont cut it. Your body is trying to hold on to everything you take in to meet your exercise standards.

When you rest your body recovers and allows for new muscle, and the break down of fat. It also let you do these more efficently. So, you have the dicipline and the mindset, now all you have to do is rest. Don't go so hard, maybe do that work out 2 times a week and a lighter one the rest and you will see results.

REST REST REST!!! If you over train, you wont accomplish anything.

First of all, congratulations on your dedication to your workout.

Here are two thoughts.

First, how much overweight are you, if at all.? I don't mean how much do you THINK you are overweight, but if you look at a chart, what does it say. If you are within 10 pounds of your target weight, good luck getting it off. The last few pounds are very, very hard to lose.

Second, your body may be getting used to your workout, and not trying as hard as it used to. It may be time to do some interval training (if you run), or add time / distance to your cardio.
