Question: PLZ! how many calories do i need a day.?
i went to multiple online calculators, and they all come out with a difference answer. i want to know how many calories i really need. thanks so much! im 5'8, 150lbs, i exerrsize hard, sweaty, painful, intensely, for 4-10 hours a day, i want to gain weight, at least 15 more pounds. i eat healthy also, but i want to kno how many calories i need to eat a day, or how i can find out how many, thanks so much ! ! !.Health Question & Answer

Well calorie intake is definitly based on your activity level. To gain a healthy amount of weight you only have to consume 500 more callories a day then you normally would. Just like if you wanted to loose weight you would eat 500 less. So most calculators wont give you an acurate count if your activity level is way beyond normal so honestly I would just try eating a little more than you normally would or try to bulk up.Health Question & Answer

i think the general idea is 2000 for a girl and 2500 for a boy but if you are doing a lot of exercise i would imagine that actually you should be intaking a lot more, 4-10hrs sounds very excessive mind. have you considered discussing this with your dr who could help devise a safe and healthy way for you to gain your required weight.
