That's a measurement that takes into account a lot of factors. For example, my wife is 5ft 7in, or 170cm's and weighs 63 KGS, but she fluctuates between 58KGS and 64KGS, but then she has a very large bone structure, at her height around 55KGS to 60KGS is considered normal, but that depends on bones structure and how fit you are, when i start training after a long lay off, i initially gain weight as i have to eat more for fuel, then when it settles down i lose weight again.
Do a BMI test, can be found easily on the web, i have attached a good website to try, but even then you need to be careful, my BMI is 29, meaning i am overweight, yet i cycle to work and back home four days a week, that's 28 miles a day, in 1hour 8 minutes, i play five a side football for one hour on the day i don't cycle, and twice a week i do 1 hour of weight training, and i am 40 years old. So take it with a pinch of salt, for me, i have decided if i am happy with my weight, then who cares.
Even though, my 15 year old still calls me fat, but he wont cycle with me, funny that :-)Health Question & Answer
