Yea stretching and warming up and down helps. I think taking like medicine is a bit extreme just for a workout. The answer is just to wait it out and 2-7 days after the workout the muscle soreness should calm down and go away.

Take a nice hot bath, pop a Tylenol and take tomorrow off from working out. Give your body time to rest & recover.
