Work out routine needed! ?!
Question: Work out routine needed! .?
I am a 24 year old female, 5ft2 and 125lbs. I am wanting to lose 10-15lbs by Christmas time (which I dont think is an excessive amount-correct me if Im wrong!) and I am looking for some kind of exercise routine that I can do to help assist me with reaching my goal. I can work out 4 days a week only as my job keeps me VERY occupied. Anyone have any suggestions.?.?.?Health Question & Answer

That gives you about 3 months to lose say 15 lbs. That is reasonable goal: 5lbs./month. If i were in your shoes i would....
1. increase my water intake to at least 8 glasses/day
2. use an elliptical(my fav.) or treadmill for 30-60 min. 4 days/week
--keep heart rate at 155+ for cardio benefits
3. lift light weights(15-20 reps x3 sets) & ab exercises 3 days/week
--work front abs, obliques, and back muscles.
4. try to eat healthier...say no to that second cookie, don't put as much dressing or use a lighter variety on salad, skim instead of 2%
5. halloween: don't buy candy you like for the trick-or-treaters
6. christmas: you don't need to have cookies out...make them the day of a get-together or make them and give them away right away ...instead leave a bowl of red and green grapes on the table.Health Question & Answer

Well, I think you have a pretty healthy weight.
I went from 145lbs to 130lbs from one cross country season. But when it's not in season, I keep in shape by running 3-4 miles about 3 times a week. I don't know if you'll lose that much weight. You'll probably lose *some* weight if you don't already run regularly. It really depends on the pace you set too. A good pace for three miles should be under a half an hour. But not everybody can run. Health Question & Answer
