If you are constant and persistent you should start to see results in about 2 months or so, now talking about a full 6-Pack, it would obviously take a bit longer.

You can try different variations of the traditional sit-ups also, and may be able to get results faster. Try using raising the difficulty by increasing the inclination of you back. Health Question & Answer

It all depends on where you start from. If your BMI is higher than 25, you might want to consider running, or some other aerobic exercise just to start off.

If you are a healthy weight, start with an aerobic workout. I would encourage at least 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days out of the week. Running works like a charm. Once this base is established, a great way to developing a six pack is doing military sit-ups* and inclined sit-ups with a small amount of weight clutched to your chest. A 5 or 10 pound weight is sufficient, but if you do not have this, substitute a dictionary wrapped in a pillowcase. Weight adds resistance and difficulty, which aids in building muscle.

A final word of advice... if you are going to develop your abs, do not neglect your lower back. This can cause back trouble in the future.

Good luck.

*Military sit-ups alternate coming up from a sit up toward your left knee and right knee. Even sit-ups go to the left, and odd sit-ups go to the right.

Health Question & Answer

You should do sit-ups and push-ups. Push-ups help more than sit-ups because you are using more force. One other suggestion would be to do more sit-ups... 100 a day isn't that great.Health Question & Answer

It depends how close the liquor store is to your house. The closer it is, the less time it will take.Health Question & Answer
