Anyone out there lose 100 pounds or more without fad diets, operations, or pills? Give me success stories!?!

Question: Anyone out there lose 100 pounds or more without fad diets, operations, or pills.? Give me success stories!.?
I am 5'10", 272 lbs- I lost 25 pounds so far, and going strong. I work out 5 days a week, and eat a very low fat diet, whole grains, low sugar, vegetarian. I am feeling good, and would like success stories to help me along. My goal weight is 185. Health Question & Answer

I am into my 11th week of working out now. I go to the gym 5-7 times a week mainly doing cardio. On some days I will also lift weights for about 20 minutes or so. So far I have lost 40 pounds. I went from 225 to 185. I want to hit 160 then maybe bulk up with muscle to 170 or so. I'm kinda short only 5'7.

Anyway, I am not doing any fad diets or anything. I went from drinking 3-4 cans of soda a DAY and eating fast food 3-4 times a week to eating fast food just once in the past 11 weeks and only have drank 2 sodas as well in those 11 weeks. Everything I eat, I eat it on 100% whole wheat bread. Stuff like eggs, tuna, fish, all kinds of meat. I have been losing weight fast because I never used to eat breakfast and I probably ate over 2000 calories a day. Now I eat 1200 or so calories a day and my workout at the gym usually burns 500-600 calories a day. I also drink a lot of water. Usually about 10-15 cups of water a day and no other liquid, no pills, no vitamins etc.

I'm averaging about 4 pounds a week lost. No complaints. Great results even though most people say to lose 1-2 pounds a week. I was just so overweight so I think soon my results will slow down but I will push hard as this is now a new and improved lifestyle for me.

Congratulations on your push so far and keep it up!Health Question & Answer

Congrats! You sound like you're doing GREAT!

My friend's mom lost over 125 pounds. She did it through weight watchers, and she walks or hits the gym frequently. She feels and looks great, too. She likes to walk because her office buddies have a contest to see who can walk the most miles each month and she's rather competitive. She also likes that the activity points allow her to eat more under the weight watchers system.

They're the highest-reviewed and supposedly the healthiest weight-loss system out there, and they suggest meals much like yours: low sugars, low fat, high in nutrition!

Congrats again. You have quite a bit to be proud of, and you're on the right track!Health Question & Answer

Yeah I'm 5'8. 18 years old. About a year ago I was 258 lbs. I am down to 190 now. Diet wise all I did was cut out sweets, limit portion size, and make sure I did not eat after 7:30 pm. Exercise wise I walked all the time. I had tried gyms before but none of them worked out. I started out just walking 15 minutes a day. Now I am pretty steady at an 1 to 1 1/2 hours a day. Just keep at it. Cardio is key.Health Question & Answer
