How does walking back and forth up and down the stairs help burn body fat and help one lose weight?!


Question: How does walking back and forth up and down the stairs help burn body fat and help one lose weight.?
I am thinking about just walking up and down the stairs back and forth for just an hour a day while drinking nothing but water mixed with lemon juice,does anyone have any advice for me.?

Well your body uses complex systems to burn energy to make it function. The more you move, the more energy required to make the body function at it's new condition. Fat is used by the body to store energy, so if it is running low then it will resort to using fat cells to be used as energy.

Walking up and down the stairs will help you lose weight, but as for how effectively I cannot say. I would suggest something more than that, such as running, and don't take away your diet to lose weight. Once you start eating again you will bloat like crazy, so instead change your dietary ways to a healthier diet that includes all six nutrients you need:
Water
Vitamins
Minerals
Protein
Fat (You want to get UNSATURATED if it's mono or poly unsaturated you're good, if it is saturated stay away from it. Fat isn't bad, saturated fat is)

It helps you lose weight because walking up/down stairs uses more energy (calories) then walking on a flat surface or sitting down, etc. Jogging or something would use more energy.

You could sit in your bed and do situps really fast and you would start getting out of breath and your heartrate would go up and you'd burn fat. It doesn't matter what you do.
