I am 5'5 and 116 pounds. I am sooo fattt. I hate it. Whenever i say i am sooo fat and i am trying to lose weight my friends are like "no hannah ur perfect i wish i had ur body." i get really upset. I am in 7th grade and have a horrible self esteem. One day i went a whole 3 days without food and i felt fine and skinny and i am thinking about just not eating for a week besides like oatmeal and salad at school. My goal is too be 100 pounds by the end of my school year. IS this a healthy goal, all my friends say i'll be like anorexic but idc. I am a 34c/36c. What do you think. Being too underweight can be dangerous. I have known many people growing up that believed that they were too fat. As I am five foot five inches tall, i know that it can be very difficult and very unhealthy to eat as little as you plan to do. Depending on how active you are, you can have awful side effects as well. I suggest trying to eat a well balanced diet and to stop eating when you are full. You are at a healthy weight and should aim to keep it that way. Being anorexic will not help you in the long run. Take care of your body and you will look pretty much longer. Your body needs much of the stuff you eat.

Starving yourself slows your metabolism and will set your body into starvation mode. This causes your body to burn LESS fat than you normally would and can cause your body to look for ways to cut energy output. You are already underweight!!! 100 pounds is WAY too skinny seriously you are supposed to be around 125 so you have achieved the whole "underweight" thing already. I know how you feel about being underweight, honestly, but as long as you are a heathy weight, looking at this logically, you should NEVER be 25 pounds underweight or you could have some serious health problems on the way!!! Wow, dear, you need help. I've "been there, done that", and believe me, it NOT worth it. Starving yourself will do NOTHING for your self esteem, trust me. All people will think (and probably say) when they see you is "sheesh, she is WAY too skinny, and ew, who wants to see her ribs like That.?!" Eating salad is great, if you want to eat lighter try salads and oatmeal, nothing wrong with that, but make sure you eat something. And try to get salads with chicken, or some form of protein on it. Since your 12 (like me) and 5'5 and 116 pounds, your wicked skinny! I'm 5'4 and 121 pounds and I know I'm healthy. Please don't try and lose weight. You will get anorexic. Last year my sister was anorexic and it made me really upset.

Hon you are definitely not fat at all. you're a perfectly normal weight and far from being overweight. Your bmi is 19.3 which is on the skinnier side of normal. You have nothing to worry about. if you're worried about a not so toned area's something like that then just excersize a little several times a week. You are way to young to be worrying about something like this anyways. Dont go cause yourself to not eat because thats extremly unhealthy and will cause you health problemes and eventually kill you. I'd suggest seeing a professional for help, as you seem to be overly obsessive about how you weigh in a negative way; you are NOT fat and you need to put some weight on. also in 7th grade you should *NOT* be trying to lose weight if you are 116lbs - you will totally regret it in the future if you go to extremes you could stunt your growth mentally and physically.

I punched in your height and weight in the website Am-I-Fat.com, and it says that you are marginally thin and that you should eat more. Is that what you're going for.?
I also typed in 100 lbs with your height (which is what you said your goal weight is) and it says that if you were that thin, you'd have to consult a doctor because it's an unhealthy weight for you.
But in truth, you need to be comfortable in your own skin! I suggest eating healthily (oatmeal for breakfast is good for you! but also with eating other meals, however) and exercising regularly. Then, perhaps, you'll feel comfortable enough to say, "At least I'm keeping myself in shape."
You're only in 7th grade! Please, don't do this to yourself... I'm sure you're absolutely fine! Self-esteem can be a killer, I know, but you have to listen to your friends and be happy with yourself. If you don't start now, you'll throw yourself into a destructive spiral.

You should really go to the doctor because the more I read your passage the more I feel your anorexic.

If you want a good diet (that I'm on right now :P), cut out all junk foods. Every time before you eat something, consider it. Are you hungry.? Or are you just craving it.?
