Do it sweety. I was 250 lbs and I'm 5'5". I'm down to 155 lbs right now. Just do it. If some one has a problem with it...screw them!!!!!

I'm a single working mom. I know it's tough. 18 months ago my husband left and that's what I weighed.

I got my S**T together and concentrated on me. You can do it. Yes I can tell you people look at you funny but you would be supprised how many wonderful people are out there to give you a hand.

I have 20 or so more pounds to go. If I can so can you!!!!!!!!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

What gym to do you belong to.? At my gym there are people of all shapes and sizes. Dont let the fact that you feel uncomfortable stop you from becoming a fit and healthy person. Stop the excuses and get to it, you can start walking on the treadmill for a while and then when you start to see some changes and feel a bit more motivated you can then hit the weights.Health Question & Answer

It depends how 'big' you.
But don't feel insecure, you're doing it for your own good. I think society will not judge you on how you look, but they will think of you as someone who has enough brains to figure out which lifestyle to choose. You should actually feel rather proud for choosing to turn towards a healthier lifestyle.

I hope you do lose the amount of weight you want to.

Good luck x

Dont feel insecure. You should feel good about it. i work at a gym and i see people all shapes and sizes. and people who are 15-90 years old. people in wheel chairs. No one pays attention to other people or judges them they just do their own workout. ive been working out with my friend who is over weight and he has lost 50 pounds and feels great. he cant wait to get back into the gym the next day. Don't feel uncomfortable, There are people of all shapes and sizes at the gym I go to. The purpose of going is to make you self feel better and look better in the process. Don't feel like you getting judged by others because some of them have the same problems as you so don't worry. Just go work out and have fun.Health Question & Answer

Just think...everyone is there for the same reason!! You shouldn't feel uncomfortable. I was when I first started, but soon I just realized that everyone is just there to get fit, loose weight, feel good about YOURSELF. You need to think about you and no one else. Bring an ipod and just tune everyone out. Good luck!
