Would this be a good workout to gain muscle and tone it?!


Question: Would this be a good workout to gain muscle and tone it.?
i weight train everyother day and i do the following on bench,incline,behind head military press,preacher curl,and squat:
i start with a certain weight, and add 10 pounds after everyset, the first four are sets of 10 and then sets 5 and 6 are sets of 4, again adding 10 pounds after each set, and i run sprints everyother day im not weight training. is this good to gain muscle and tone it.?Health Question & Answer

Tha means you are doing the same muscle groups 3 times a week, for 6 sets each. In my opinion, that's a little too much. I would break it down into 2 muscle groups a session, with 2-3 exercises per muscle group. Such as this...
Day 1: Chest and Biceps
Day 2: Back and Triceps
Day 3: Shoulders and Legs

Put a days rest between workouts, to do your sprints, and do about 2-3 exercises per muscle group, no more than 4 sets per exercise. Keep your reps between 8 and 12, selecting the correct weight to do this number of reps. If you start with 12 reps, add some weight on the next set, and do 10 reps, then add more for the next, and do 8, then for the last set, drop some weight, and do another 10-12 reps. That's how I like to do it.
This kind of workout will ensure that you build muscle, and tone it, too. Trust me, this works. :)
