Any kind of squat will help a lot (you can look them up with google), but the best overall leg (and butt) exercise is going to be a lunge. That'll get Quads and Hamstrings, as well as gluteus muscles and everything in between. For best results, lunge out really far so that the knee you didn't lunge with touches the ground, and REALLY make sure that your knee does not pass your toe on the leg you lunged with. (You can seriously damage your knee if it extends beyond the toe on a regular occasion - I've get a tendon that doesn't stay in place because I didn't know that when I started doing lunges.
As for how many lunges you should do, keep going until you start feeling fatigued, wait at least 48 hours before you do another set, and on the next set add 2 lunges.Health Question & Answer

Search these exercises on the web and it will show how to do them. No weights or equipment. I do these myself, and not to brag LOL but I have a good body.
