I need advise .. fitness stuff....please help me?!

Question: I need advise .. fitness stuff....please help me.?
Im 17, guy, 5'8 tall, pretty thin body built. I started working out at the gym since last 3 weeks, 3 times a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday). My main reason is I like to improve my body built, better (bigger and stronger) muscles, and posture.

Now that im working out regularly, is it better I do more locomotive exercise.? Like walking and jogging, taking the half mile distance from home to school on foot than on wheels, stairs instead of elevator, stuff like that.? Or should I otherwise cut on walking, refrain from leisurely strolling and just save up my energy and use them on they gym.? If "saving up energy" is such a concept or idea in fitness, is it good.?

I cant really finish a day without a lot of walking since i really do that as part of school stuff, and i regularly visit friends on foot, so i guess i have a good amount of walking in my everyday life. My question is, is it enough.? or should I cut.? increase more.?

Sorry for my english, any helpful opinions based on studies and research or just personal opinions is really appreciated.

THANKS.

well i dont really know much about this stuff cos I am so unfit! LOL
but if you wanna build some muscle, my advice is do as much weights as you can, and try to do some everyday, even if you cant go to the gym, you can just lift some books or something! lol and apart from that, make sure you are eating a diet that is extremely high in protein, so eat heaps of meat, eggs, baked beans, etc.
Good luck and ill talk to you soon Health Question & Answer
