Question: Why am i hungry when I'm not.?( i know i already asked but i put the question in the wrong section).?
When im at school about an hour before lunch i always get really hungry and my stomach starts to growl. I started eating a little more for breakfast and it went down a little but this didn't happen before. I eat dinner really early ( like 4) and i think that might be the reason. is it.?


Breakfast- 8am
Lunch- 12pm or 12;30 ( depends on what day

If you're not hungry, then why are you hungry.? Usually, when my stomach feels empty and it's growling, then I know I'm hungry. Most mornings I'm done with breakfast by 7:30. Usually, by 11 again, I'm hungry. I don't always get to get a snack then if I'm caring for my daughter, but I know I'm hungry. Yesterday morning, I was hungry again by ten, so I had a banana. By 11 I was hungry again (I did give a small part of the banana to my daughter with her breakfast), so I had a slice of whole wheat bread with some Smart Balance. I didn't get to eat my all natural PB sandwhich with all-natural fruit spread until a couple of hours later, after my husband and went to vote and we stopped to drop off our health insurance papers. Had I not had anything at ten, thinking I could wait or thinking, "Gee, even though my body is telling me I'm hungry, I can't possibly be because it's not lunch time yet," I might have just passed out somewhere along the way, as it was at least five hours until I was able to have lunch.

yeah, it might be cause your eating breakfast too early. or maybe your eating the wrong kind of stuff for breakfast.? What do you eat.? I've found that Special K cereal is reallly good cause i just eat a bowl of that in the morning and it keeps me full right till lunch :).
otherwise, bring a little snack to school and eat it between a class when you feel hungry. like a banana or some om that drinkable-yougurt stuff or maybe a small sandwhich. just to keep you from being hungry (cause it like impossible to concentrate in class when your hungry :P).

Try this...

Move your breakfast to about 7 or 7:30 and look at what you are eating. You need to ensure that you are loading up on proteins and natural or complex carbs in the morning. Do you like breakfast tacos.?

7:00 or 7:30am:
2-3 eggs
3oz ground turkey breast
2 wheat tortillas
Fruit

At about 9:45am:
Since you are in school, you need something convenient and quick. Here are two options:
1. Half of a meal replacement bar (Myoplex or AdvantEdge Carb Control for example).
2. ~10g of protein powder and mixed with water and a piece of fruit. This can be mixed in a shaker cup before you leave for school

Your lunch is at 12:00 or 12:30

At about 3:00pm:
Eat the other half of the meal replacement bar (if you choose this option)

This will push you dinner back to a more reasonable hour.

Comments:
1. Eating more for breakfast will not always help you, in fact it can be counter-productive as your body is only going to need a certain amount of food at impossibleng. This is where the idea of timing of meals/ snacks comes into play.

2. Your in school and it will you are going to have to adapt much of the timing advise you read here as a HS student trying to eat 6x per day is virtually imposiible without disciplinary issues. You should be able to get to 4 and possibly 5 though with relative ease. This will keep your portions down and allows you not to get the hunger pains between meals.

3. Eating all three meals in a span of 8 hours is a poor practice as that then leaves 16 hours of open time. Try to spread the wealth with regards to timing as much as you can by extending out the times at which you eat. Again, smaller portions with additions meals/ snacks will help you accomplish this.

4. Make sure that you have enough fluid intake throughout the day. If you are not in the bathroom at least 2-3 times, you aren't drinking enough. There are times in which dehydration is mis-diagnosed as hunger pains. Understand that the majority of society today walks around in some state of dehydration as people do not drink enough water.
