how many calories consumed daily is considered a "starving" state.? like, less than 500 or something.?

and does exercising on top of this make you bulky or just help burn the calories quicker.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Anything less than 1200...although some might tell you 1000.

Your body will start eating up your fat storages, and when that runs out it moves to your muscles for nutrients, then, sadly, your organs, and that is why people get sick and die.

If you exercised, you won't build muscle. You'll waste away faster. You need protein to build muscles. Again, the body will turn inward and use the msucle for food/energy.Health Question & Answer

The simple answer to your question is that starving doesn't work! If you starve yourself in order to lose weight your body will work against you. The end result will be that you will put on weight!

If you really want to lose weight you need to think of a lot more than what you eat. Exercise is important in the equation and will certainly boost your weight loss efforts...

Whatever you do don't try and lose weight without some form of guidance or you'll be wasting your time.

Starving is not the way to lose weight. If you starve yourself, starvation hormones will start coming up, and it will slow the metabolism, because your body is not sure when you are going to be eating again, and therefore it slows so that you will not feel hungry for a long time.Health Question & Answer
