I need to lose weight QUICK!?!

Question: I need to lose weight QUICK!.?
Okay, so next year I will be a Freshman at a new school with new people. My ideal goal (which probably isn't going to happen) would be to lose 20 pounds by January 1, 2009. And did I just baloon 3 lbs. because I started back eating lunch.? I weighed 168 before, now I've started back eating lunch (cuz I'm at home sick with chickypox and have no self-discipline whatsoever at the moment). Would that be a reason for gaining the wight back.? And I need a plan that I can stick to and continue to lose weight(which is not happening at the time...)!! Please help!! Thank you guys!!!Health Question & Answer

...Oh dear...

Whatever plan you choose, please PLEASE be healthy about it. Denying your body food is like denying a car of fuel. You need to eat healthy, balanced meals. Eating lunch is a good thing, not a bad thing. Many people who are trying to lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle eat 5 or 6 small, healthy meals a day (not 6 McD's value meals -- six small healthy meals of fruits, veggies, a little meat, a little pasta, etc.).

When you deny your body food, you will gain back MORE weight once you start eating again. So DON'T GO WITHOUT EATING! Try to get in some exercise a few times a week also. You'd be amazed how quickly the pounds will fall off once you get active. I hate the fact that you feel you need to lose weight so quickly because healthy weight loss should be a slower, steadily paced thing, not a quick-fix crash diet.

There are several reasons why you could've gained a few pounds. You could just be retaining water. Please don't deny yourself food, and please, please be healthy and smart about how you lose weight, new student or not. If you cause yourself health problems, those new kids are NOT going to be around to pay your medical bills and nurse you back to health...Health Question & Answer
