Need to lose alot of weight?!


Question: Need to lose alot of weight.?
I am 21 5'7" and weigh about 240. I have not always been big and would like to get back to a healthier weight. I would like advice from people who have also lost a lot of weight. Oh and I have a family reunion in July and would like to have lost 50lbs by then. ThanksHealth Question & Answer

Diet: Watch your portions. Cut down on sugar, fruit, and starchy vegetables. Your diet should consist of mainly lean protein and green veggies.
Exercise: Start an exercise program. Walk, bike, swim, or run for at least 30 minutes each and every day.

Ok.... first of all, no matter how healthy you eat, you will not lose weight if you do not know a few certain things about your body.

1_ Your metabolic level. You need to know how fast or slow your metabolism is. In knowing that you can choose foods that works with your metabolism and find a diet that works for you. Say for example that you have a slow metabolism. Then eating a lot of red meat would be out of the question because it will take forever to break it down.

2_ Your blood levels. It would be a good idea also to get a CBC done @ your next Dr.'s appointment. Knowing what your blood levels are will give you an idea what your body has too much of and what it is lacking. Eating right does not always mean eating salads. It means feeding your body what it needs and not what it doesn't.

3_ I's & O's. Input and Output. Know your fluid intake and output. You don't have to measure or anything. But just be cautious as to how much you're drinking and how much you're going. If you are not going as much as you are drinking, you may be retaining fluid, which causes weight gain.

50 lbs it way too much weight to lose in a certain period of time
healthy eating and exercising is the way to go
eat more fruits
drink more water
start smoking, that helps a lot
BUT most important is to have a good diet and exercise because if you only do one of those you won't get get ANY RESULTS.

all i need to tell you is two words...Proper Nutrition!!!!!
people think than by running and killing your self you will get the ultimate results, but in reality your diet has more to do with burning fat. Don't get me wrong exercise is great too! but people have no idea the amount of weight they can lose just by eating the right things. daily-moderate exercise will help a lot too! in burning fat 70% involves nutrition and only 20% involves exercise... clinically proven!!Health Question & Answer
