Question: How do you overcome the mode of "I'll start tomorrow," for wanting to eat healthy.?
I've been wanting to start dieting again and it's been hard to get back into the swing of it.
I don't know how to overcome the feeling I have.
I think that if I eat something bad for the day, I feel like I should just eat whatever.
How do I fix that mentality.?Health Question & Answer


Answers:
Start with replacing small things in your diet.
Don't make such a huge change, you will not like it.

Do you drink sodas.? then try to replace a can with a bottle of water.
Start small, so you can get accustomed to the difference.
Your diet should be a way of life, not about a once a year try to loose weight so you can jump back to the old routine.

Have a mental picture of what you would like to be.
It is weight loss.? Size change.?
Picture how closer you are of reaching your goal by making that small change in your diet, once you get accustomed to it, then incorporate another change.

By the end of the day you will feel better and not guilty.
For school, even if there are fast food restaurants you can order a grilled chicken sandwich.
There you get your protein which will make you satisfied.
For on the go breakfast you can get a tasty protein bar.
The best thing however is to just wake up earlier than usual and have a good breakfast, it is in fact the most important meal of the day.

WHat worked for me is telling myself...My diet started on 11/1...NO EXCEPTIONS...

Every Saturday I weigh myself on the scale at GNC (where you get the paper readout. I glued it to a paper that sits out in the open in my bedroom. I don't care if I DIDNT lose weight OR if I had been bad all week, i would still weigh myself on Saturday, cause MY DIET STARTED ON THE 1st...no matter what.

After a while, I REALLY wanted to see that number on the paper go down...so i started rejecting foods and making better choices and walking a bit more. THe number started going down and as I would see my little glued papers and the numbers falling, I started doing MORE to make it fall...Health Question & Answer

Get rid of all the junk in your house and then hit the store and stock up on healthy items. That way, you don't have any choice but to eat healthy since that's all that's in the pantry. And start taking your lunch to work instead of going out to eat.Health Question & Answer
