First, set a goal to lose 5 lbs. per week, that way the whole thirty pounds won't seem as out of reach. Second, cut out all fast food and empty calories such as cokes, instead replace fluid intakes with water. Get plenty of exercise and don't skip meals-you need to keep you metabolic rate burning. I don't know how big you are, but the people on the biggest loser lose so much weight, especially in the beginning, because they are SO overweight. When you are that heavy, yes you can lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time. But if you aren't obese it might not be as easy for you.

The only advise I can give is don't try too hard to completely starve yourself, because its so easy to binge after a couple days. Eat smaller meals (better proportions) and healthfully- you know what that means. And cardio cardio cardio! and WATER!
