How to stay completely away from junk food?!


Question: How to stay completely away from junk food.?
Please help. What are some good strategies for staying away from junk food.? Everywhere I turn, someone is always eating something that's bad for them when I'm at school, and I always feel tempted. I'm just trying to set on a great goal, here. also, I always see these girls eat whatever they want and they always stay beautiful. But, in the long run, will junk food finally get to them and show.? Please answer my questions....cause (honestly) I'm desperate! lol Thanks.Health Question & Answer

Oh yes! Those girls will definitely suffer in the long run. I've always been skinny my whole life, but as soon as I began nearing my late teens, I started to get a larger butt, bigger hips and a stomach from having eaten all of that terrible junk food. I stopped last year and lost well over thirty pounds. Aside from having weight problems from eating that way, I also dealt with HORRENDOUS heartburn!

All I did to lose weight and makes things better was change my eating habits. I don't eat ANYTHING with high fructose corn syrup and I stay away from sweets, don't eat pork whatsoever, I don't drink any carbonated stuff and I stay away from overly processed foods.

When it comes to junk food, think of it this way. When someone is stuffing their mouth with a big, warm glazed donut they're adding like, 15 layers of fat on their heart (and other parts of their body) and when they turn 50, they're gunna look it! Eating healthy early in life is just making it better on yourself. You'll live happy and not have to worry about tons of medicine to alleviate a medical condition or having to get a limb chopped off because of diabetes. Plus anyway, healthy food makes you feel great inside!

Hmm its not good to bar yourself from specific foods.

You will continuously crave them and if you dont have a little bit now, youll end up binging by accident later!

You say youre at school so it sounds like youre young. IDont worry about diet and stuff when youre young... Well you should but you shouldnt bar yourself from bad foods.

Yes, it will eventually catch up to them. When you get older your metabolism slows down because as youre going through rapid stages of growth being a teenager, you require more calories. Once you stop growing, you dont need as much to sustain yourself.

Im a teenager too. Everywhere I go at my school people shove thier mouths with sausage rolls and God knows what theyre made of. Im never tempted by it. I dont know why. I think its because Im so dedicated to growing taller that I can sustain a better diet over long periods of time.
Just eat as healthily as you can with junk food sometimes, and exercise plenty but not too much.

i always find it easier to eat really strict/healthy diet during the week and on a sunday i eat what i like. it keeps me more motivated and stops me from giving in to eating unhealthy food during the week. the best thing is to just try not to give in to the temptation and be determined to eat good food and think of the benefits of it. eating fast food regularly will make your skin more prone to spots and greasy skin so just keep to eating lots of fruit/veg, wholegrain bread and 2 - 3 litres of water to keep your skin and body hydrated and clean.

OMG that is soooooooooooooooooooo hard. It's possible, I've done it for long stretches at a time. It is easy for young people to put away a lot of junk food and stay thin, but as we get older that will wear on us. Our metabolism slows and we just can't burn the calories contained in junk food and our bodies suffer from the lack of healthy foods. Resisting temptation is hard but each day you resist it gets a little easier and people start to admire your will power.

Better nutrition means better health. Fruits and vegetables help our immune system and our good for our skin. Sugar is bad for our teeth. When you are out of school and have to pay your way through life, you also want less medical and dental bills. You might want to carry around organic raisins or some other healthy snack in order to not be tempted by junk food when you are hungry.Health Question & Answer
