Question: Will eating bad every now and then ruin your diet and figure.?
I usually try to be very strict with my diet, but even with that, and walking around every day, it's still VERY hard to keep the weight off and keep in shape

Today, I gave in and I had a piece of cake, a pretty big piece too, about 1/5th of the entire cake! I also had two tv dinners, and the total calorie content of the two TV dinners was about 600.

I had a piece of dark chocolate around 200 calories, and I had a can of albacore, and a few other things.


All in all....was my food today bad.?


Are we allowed to "pig out" once in a while, or does that pretty much still put junk in our bodies, and junk is junk, and it still is bad.?

Hi,

Don't consider going on a diet, instead try eating healthier. The reason, if you go "on" a diet, then that means one day you'll eventually come "off" a diet. So, there's really no point.

The best way is to just gradually change your eating habits...after we are creatures of habit. Just by doing this, you'll lose weight without even trying.

Forget about pills, water diets, Atkins diet...all useless because you can't do it for the rest of your life...and its not healthy.

Nah one day of eating bad is not bad at all...

Today I ate unhealthy for the first time in weeks, at McDonalds hehe.

The reason it may be hard for you to keep weight off is your body type. You may be and Endomorph, which is a person who easily puts on fat, but also easily builds muscle. If you do 20 minutes of cardio and an hour of weight training 4 times a week, you should be able to keep weight off no problem.

But one day of eating unhealthy should definitely not be that hard on your body. You just have to examine your "healthy" diet, and decide whether it really is healthy. And then you have to adjust one of two factors:

-Either up the level of excercise
-Or be extremely selective on your diet

When you go on a strict diet, you will have cravings once in a while because you can get bored with all the healthy food. i don't think it is bad to indulge once in a while, just don't make a habit out of it. If you tend to brush your cravings aside, you might tend to overindulge at some point in your life. Basically, everything should be done in moderation. You can still eat those chocolates, but try to cut down consumption on those food and balance it with lots of healthy food and exercises.

"eating bad" has far far far less to do with calories and fat intake. Chemicals in food are what hurts your body and makes it so hard to loose weight. Often "diet" foods/drinks are the worst offenders. I know it sounds contradictory but avoid diet and light foods and drinks at all costs!!!!!!! And especially anything with splenda or any other kind of fake sugar, they will eventually kill you and will actually cause you to get fat. Eat as much organic ( "natural" doesn't count, it is a trick and foods labeled natural are in fact not, read up about it ) food as you can and drink water. Every now and then is perfectly fine. You have to reward yourself for keeping such a strict regimen on your diet. It'd be like studying and studying and studying, taking the test then acing it, but never giving yourself a good pat on the back.

I can happily say I eat whatever I want (as long as it's in moderation) and still manage to not gain a pound. I don't lose much, but hey, I at least that Burger, fries, and milkshake lunch doesn't show

no dude relax its okay to treat yourself every now and then your metabolism has been up and running from all the workouts the only time its goes slow is when you stop working out for some time and even then its still not a guarantee you will ruin your physique dont panic you will only get fat if you pig out everyday and dont excersise going all out one day is actually good for you i read it somewhere Health Question & Answer
