Question: Why am I such a pig.? I just cant control it! .?
im a female, 16, 5'5 and 155 pounds. Im not drastically over weight but i want to loose at least 30-40 pounds over time. I tell myself to only eat vegetables... and meat maybe once a week but when i see the foods i like its like i don't think about anything else but the food like today we went to a chinese buffet and i know i had too much so i tried to make myself throw up when we got home but that made me feel even worse =[ both my parents think im fine but i feel fat! how can i make myself hate food.? i also ordered the book "skinny bi*ch" do you think it will help.? And what can i do to reach my goal and how long will it take.?Health Question & Answer

If you want to lose weight, think breakfast, lunch and dinner with two snacks in between meals.

For breakfast you might have a slice of toast (100 calories) with scrambled eggs (200 calories) and a glass of low-fat milk (80). Total: 380.

The next snack would be a low-fat diet yogurt (100 maximum). Total: 100

Lunch might consist of a meat and salad sandwich, with 2 slices of bread (200), capsicum, tomatoes, lettuce (100) and a piece of ham (100). Total: 400

An apple for a snack: 80-100 calories.

Then dinner might be a piece of lean grilled chicken (200) with roast pumpkin, potatoes, carrots (300). Total: 500.

You could have your whole day at 1480 calories, which is probably too little but your portions of food might vary and calorie counting isn't precise.

When losing weight, never think extremes. Next time you go to a chinese buffet, eat a little of the things you truly like and drink plenty of water to help you feel full. The same goes for occasions such as birthday parties. If you can't truly avoid all the "naughty" food, eat a little of it but not as much as you used to. That way you are sure to lose weight, as weight loss is about eating less than you currently eat now.

I don't have a high regard for "skinny bxtch". I have read that book and at one stage followed their diet plan, but you have to understand that the whole purpose of the book is to convince people to become vegan (consuming no animal derived products: eggs, meat, fish, gelatin, milk, yogurt). This isn't a sure fire way to make you thin.

I am also 16 and have struggled with food for a few years, however now that I am truly eating in moderation, I am slim and fantastic. Remember, fruit, vegetables, lean meats and low-fat yogurt (but watch the sugar content) are your friends.

Restricting your diet will only give you more cravings. Expand your horizon. Eat and drink soy. Soy is the answer to your problems. It can be used in conjunction with other low cal low everything crap. Enjoy veggies. also, goals are a waste of time. MAKE IT a reality not a dream

Simply. Forever. Eating Healthy and Exercising is a complete lifestyle change... not a temporary means to an end. Try to eat healthy 80% of the time, and allow yourself, some treats of the things you like, don't feel bad about having treats... just exercise a little more to make up for it. 30-40 pounds would take about 4 to 5 months. You'll have to exercise everyday, run/walk at least 30 minutes.
Eat smaller meals, like 4 or 5 a day. Eating less but more frequently will jump start your metabolism. Don't drink any soda, if your really craving a sweet drink drink juice every other day but for the most part stick to water.
Eat vegetables and fruits as snacks. If your really craving choclate and all that get slim fast bars they taste great and are really low in calories.
Eat only fish and chicken, stick to the lean meats, and absouletly no rice way to fattening. Stick to only grain bread too, but if you can don't eat bread or much carbs at all.
