Well, your talking about building, not strength and toning, cause I would of said push ups, but they just mainly add some strength and tone, not really a muscle builder. Well, first I wouldnt do anything behind the neck, like people do lat pull downs behind their head for back/biceps...thats a no, no..especially if you play sports. Anyway, you can do inclines. They hit the upper chest. However, be easy on where you have your bar set at, you dont want to reach for the bar behind your head. You can also do isolations like incline flys and such. also a great exercise for the chest is a dip. Although it targets the triceps, it also hits the chest, lower and middle mostly fas as I know. However, since your injury, I am not sure if a dip would be good. You can also maybe if doing push ups add weight, either by putting Dbs on your back or weights on your back, and those I guess would build some muscle than just regular push ups. also, tricep push ups may work, just for an exercise, not oo much of a muscle exercise though.Health Question & Answer

I would have said bench presses, but do pushups and stuff like that. And eat a lot food with protein and stuff. It took me a while to build chest muscle (previously I had worked on my arms for ages).Health Question & Answer

Dumbell flys and its variations (incline/decline) can help. also anything in front of your body with a cable like a cable crossover or fly.
