so as far as excercise, running is key. also try core workouts a couple times a week as this will tone the muscles.

STAY AWAY from sodas or any carbonated drinks. try and stay way from juice too...sounds weird but not even orange juice is good for u. drink tons of water. ice cold water is the best because u burn calories when you drink ice water because your body used energy to raise the temp of the water to your body temp.
u can also try green tea, there is evidence out there that green tea is filled with antioxidants that will actually speed up metabolism.

cut out junk food, replace with fruits & veggies. or have rice cakes instead of chips.

also, try to up your fiber intake because fiber keeps you full longer so you will not eat as much.

start with small comfortable tweaks, once you start to see improvement you will feel much more motivated to take on the big workouts and dedication you need for the right diet!
tips that help me when I am starting to get back into shape:

Drink a lot of water!!!
Eat more protein!! (these two components will curb your appetite and make you eat less)
fruits and vegetables (don't think of it as 'eating right' or 'weightloss foods' but more like the best fueling option, they will make you feel great too
add in as much activity to your day as you can! it doesnt have to be grueling workouts... walk to the post office, ride your bike to work, simple little things that you barely even think twice about
burning calories here and there will add up throughout the day!

i ran cross country for one season and dropped 5 pounds. i shouldnt have been able to lose any more weight either because i was already at my minimal skinnest. so cross country is great for losing weight. soccer would also be good because of the running and conditioning. you will lose weight and gain muscle :)Health Question & Answer

well sit ups work! i do 50 a day, which is ok for me, yet if you set a target a day, and incress it daily or weekly, you will soon get fit!

also if you drink 2l of water a day, then you will just wash of the weight!! (i know, i didnt believe it either until i tried it)Health Question & Answer
