What's the best way to exercise if i can't use my ankle?!


Question: What's the best way to exercise if i can't use my ankle.?
i really need to lose weight - i'm not healthy and i am getting married in 17 months so i would like to look good & be healthy by then
i'm only 5'2" and i weigh about 160lbs (just under obese if you go by the bmi calculators) i've been on slim fast, and trying to be good and managed to loose a few pounds, mostly because i was doing step aerobics on my Wii fit every day
but a few days ago i broke my ankle (i fell because i tried to get out of the scalding hot water my shower was suddenly pouring on me - not exercise related)
i'm ok to walk on it but i'm not supposed to over-do it (no sports etc.) now i can't think of a way to get aerobic exercise without over using my ankle - i want to order my wedding dress by may so i want to be down to at least 130 by then (it's less than 2 lbs a week, i could get down to 120 and still have a healthy drop/week & i was a healthy weight at 120) - i'd really like to be 115/120
