Question: Please help my mom wont let me diet!!?.?
Okay so I am 13 (Not very developed) and 5'8/9ish and I am 142 And I am on this diet where It is sopossed to charge your matabolism and I have been doing it but there isnt enought food or protein so i add in some snacks like cheese and meat and apples and carrots and granola bars so i dont go all like no energyish type thing. And now my mom is telling me to get off it but i cant!! I like wont if she makes me get off of it i will like cry, i dont even get why she wants me off of it she says its because theres not enough nutriens but i take a dailey vitamin and add extra healthy snacks.. i dont ge it and im like aattached to this diet now because its making me pretty.. and i dont know what to doo.. how can i convine my mom to let me diet.?Health Question & Answer

first off, 142 punds for a girl with your frame is not bad at all! secondly, if the diet really is healthy and good for your body, and you are not overdoing it, tell your mom this.you probably want to tell everything you are doing.

lastly, sweetite, you make the choice to have confidnice in yourself. if you are doing this just to be healthy , i think thats a good thing. nut, if you have alterior motives, yoiu may want to rethink your decision.

You are already in a healthy weight range. If your mum is concerned I'm quite certain she has good reason. Ask her if it's because she thinks you shouldn't lose weight or it's the particular program you've chosen that is the problem.

If it's the program ask her to take you to the doctor or a nutritionist to find out what you should be eating to lose some weight, encourage her to participate with you & she will be more cooperative.Health Question & Answer

but you are only 13 still growing
and dieting like that will not really change you
it's good that you are not starving yourself or anything like that
but if you are going to diet like that, it's better to just eat a lot of healthy food and eat whatever you like (that adds up to under 2000calories) and exercise and work out

i don't know about the diet. everybody's metabolism functions differently. i suppose if you're feeling better about yourself now, then there is no reason to stop.

Well, most of the people do the "diets", or starve themselves just to lose few pounds. I think this' not the healthy solution, you should eat the usual but exercise one or two hours. I guarantee, not only you will be in shape, you will be healthy, too! [:

it's good that you are having a good/healthy meals...
but I think you should be doing exercises at gym where
you can have healthy food and lose calories...
in that way, you could lose few pounds in a week...
also drink lots and lots of water and make sure to have protein also.. :)

First of all, I thing you are height/weight perfect. Is there a specific reason you want to "diet".? The snacks you are choosing are healthy snacks whether you diet or not. You are still growing, so keep eating healthy.. just tell me why you think you need to "diet". Are you playing sports.? Are you actively doing exercise.? These things play important roles in what you should be eating. Not eating enough protein will slow down your metabolism.. your muscles need protein and will help burn fat with exercise. But based on your mentioned size, I am concerned that there is more to this than you want to share. You say the diet is suppossed to charge your metabolism....so proove that to her and guarenteed she will let you stay on this diet...The only way to proove that your metabolism is charged is that every day you would be able to eat a little more and a little more of high calorie foods with out gaining wieght, then you know your metabolism is increasing, can you proove that.? also understand vitamin supplements are just that supplements, they are not able to cover all your nutritional requirements. They were only created because non organic food lacks what is required.

relying on a supplement can lead to early altimerzs desease, scurvy, poor skin tones and textures. you might endup with huge bags under your eyes before 30...so many gross aging things you deffinatley do not want to experience too early since it is very unattractive.

Tell her if you don't start thinking about it now, you wont ever. Then you'll be obese. Trust me.. I wish when I was 13 I worried about it. I remember one time I asked my mom and she said I shouldn't even be thinking about weight when I'm that young. The truth is, you shouldn't WORRY about your weight when you're 13, but you can certainly maintain it and keep it healthy. What is so wrong with starting young.? Then that way, you'll learn healthy life style choices for life. If you start later in life, it will just be harder. The younger, the better.

well hopefully your excercising.. jump roping is an amazing excersice.. does a body good.. as for a diet.? your 13 and tall and 142.? that sounds pretty normal to me. but a diet wont make you pretty.. if you dont know what your doing it could serious hurt you.. like not enough nutrients. vitamins may not always do it.. as for metabolism.. small meals throught the day.. its supposed to speed it up, and running, if you school has a track team.? or basketball :) but i hope i helped in some way.. just be careful with dietsHealth Question & Answer
