Question: Are certain proteins better then others for muscle repair.?
Like cheese versus peanut butter or nut protein versus eggs. Just really confused about protein. I have been eating protein but my muscles are still sore, just not sure I am eating the right kind of protein.Health Question & Answer

Keep working out. Protein will not magically make you stop being sore. Only allowing your muscles to adapt to regular exercise will stop the soreness. The best proteins as far as foods you can get are boiled egg white and grilled chicken breast. Peanut butter has more fat than protein and so does cheese. A good rule of thumb to follow is never eat anything that has more fat than protein.Health Question & Answer

i think so. if you have tuna (chicken of the sea cups) it is about 18 g protein
if you have 21 g of peanut butter smuckers kind, it is about 5 g protein
plus the tuna is way healthier and less calories.

Try and take in some creatine as well. You should be taking in 2grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. Whey protein is fine, but try not to have more than 3 shakes a day, otherwise you will be visiting the bathroom quite often, the same goes for like isopure drinks. Take it in every 2-3 hours, with moderate carbs.
