Question: My arms are sore and I can't straighten them. Is there anyway to speed up my recovery.?
I hadn't worked out for a good 8 months prior to yesterday. I know it's common to be sore and feel tight, but is there anything I can do to speed up the recovery.?Health Question & Answer

It's probably too late for this now but in future it might be an idea to take a whey protein shake immediately after your workout as this is known to speed up recovery.

However seeing as it's too late for that I'd simply advise drinking LOTS of water and eating a banana or two for the potassium. Keep eating a fair amount of protein to help repair the muscles quicker. also an important thing to do is stretch before you go to bed and when you wake up. also don't do your arms again until they're fully recovered.

Follow these simple things and you should get a speedier recovery.

You need to gradually start moving your arms, and sometimes using creams can help you move your arms. Most people use things after a marathon run because there joints are sore but it might just help you too. Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer
