Do you recommend Wii Fit as a good tool to use during my weight loss battle? What does it do exactly?!

Question: Do you recommend Wii Fit as a good tool to use during my weight loss battle.? What does it do exactly.?
Answers:
Yes! I love mine. Of course it won't work on it's own but as a tool YES. All I have right now is what it came with. It really works your core and helps you with balance. There are all kinds of activities you can do. There are balancing games, yoga, weight training, aerobics (walking, running, step class), snow skiiing etc... You can also buy different games for it.

I love it. Good luckHealth Question & Answer

Any activity is what you need. And if that has to be in the form of imitation play at games, then that is better than nothing. But getting out and actually playing a game, or working in the yard, or even walking down to the corner store (but not buying anything!!) is better than sitting at home thinking about doing it.

Wii is a computer game that you "play" by physically moving to hit the ball or whatever. Some seniors like to "bowl" with it, since they actually have to "roll" the ball. It is some movement and that is good. There is no weight to it, as you have with a real bowling ball, but at least you can make the movement. It's like playing "air guitar" -- there is movement, but nothing is actually thrown or hit. It can be fun!Health Question & Answer

Reviews said it wasn't really in-depth, so it wasn't a good "tool" and had only limited usefulness. I'd suggest buying a nice DDR pad- you can use workout mode (which calculates how many calories you burn) and get exercise that's addictive and fun. =DHealth Question & Answer
