Why does my heart beat superfast for 30mins after bending down?!
Question: Why does my heart beat superfast for 30mins after bending down.?
Sometimes when I bend down and stand up again too fast my heart locks into extremely fast beating mode. I always lie down immediately (because it makes me feel faint) but it continues to beat fast for usually around 30 minutes, then suddenly becomes normal again. While it is happening, it hurts my throat, chest and upper arms more and more the longer it continues.
Does any of you experience this same thing.?
I don't understand why it happens to me because its been happening since I was 14 yrs and I have always been slim, quite strong and fit, and my bloodpressure is always very good when checked at the doctor.
I had an ultrasound of my heart done recently and they said my resting heart beat is really slow and healthy and my heart looks normal.
My doctor doesn't know what causes it.
I'm still only in my twenties but the frequency of it happening has increased as I got older, and the duration of it each time has also increased.

I used to have exactly the same thing. Sometime it would occur after a sneeze or a cough. I just put up with it even after going to a Doctor when I was quite young. My Father had it too.
I had an overactive thyroid in my 20's, which has since corrected itself.
Then in my 40's I suffered mild anxiety attacks, rapid heart beat etc. I found drinking really cold water put a stop to the rapid heart beats almost immediately. Almost like the cold water soothing the arteries in the throat was the answer. They seem to ease up with the older I get. They used to be very tiring and I had them for up to 1 hour on a couple of occasions, which I should have sought help for. Anyway, I'm still alive, that's the main thing.
